design is design is design

As I continue my never-ending search for web design work I keep running across this bizzare notion that there’s a difference between “graphic design” and “web design” when the only difference between the two is the delivery mechanism. Graphic design is designing communications with type and images, period. Yes, design for print and web each have unique needs (especially when it comes to production) but good design is the same no matter the delivery medium.
